This nature trail and bikeway boasts over 300 acres of forest and 4 miles of bike and pedestrian trails following the Blackwater Creek as it winds its way through the center of Lynchburg. With multiple access points, and paved trails suitable for hiking and biking, the Blackwater Creek Natural Area provides a quiet escape from traffic and business within the city limits. To help preserve the natural settings, collection of plant, animal, mineral, and historic items is prohibited.
